Outer banks Peekaroo!

So here are just a few pics from the Outer Banks. We headed there for just a few days to visit with one of Josh's best friends, Matt and his wife, Christina. It was amazing weather and we had a great time enjoying the sun.... playing horseshoes at the beach... Here is a picture of the sunset at dinner one evening. The restaurant is called the Sunset Grill. Ironic.

Ok.. gotta love this. Matt and Christina got a cute dog named Boo. She has a pink collar, a pink leash... all totally acceptable. But then, I spotted the pink doggy waste bags! Yes folks, they really do make them! Take note of Matt's right (his left) hand! And to top it off Matt came out in his pink shirt to take the dog for a walk!

The Best Hubby

So, I mentioned that my hubby did something super sweet for my birthday... and here are a few photos to share how cute and thoughtful he is.  I will try to give the short version... 

My birthday is this coming Saturday, and I had hoped to go to the Penn State game for a very long time with my best friend who went to Coastal Carolina (that is who PSU plays this weekend), and she just wasn't able to make it happen. I was super bummed... and Josh said that he would do something special to replace it. So he had me convinced that we were going to Virginia to spend a nice weekend together (although I was very resistant to travel anywhere other than Penn State).... 

And then one day, I came home and opened the mail... always do... and opened the tickets!!!! I was jumping up and down and literally screaming with excitement, and then my stomach sank because I didn't know what I was going to do! I ruined his surprise...

Josh loves sugar cookies so I made him a sugar cookie message: Thank you for the best birthday surprise ever!  (in blue and white of course!)

Couldn't say sorry enough...

And one of my friends just happened to be traveling through Penn State territory and graciously picked up a Penn State shirt for Josh when she stopped for a bathroom break with her 5 kids! Yes, she is a saint! 

So, yes, I am headed to Penn State this weekend, and will come back with fun photos! My husband says that there are more surprises! Isn't he sweet?!  I am dying to take my camera to the game but always worry that it will get confiscated....   This is the only Penn State game that I will even get to watch this season because I have booked weddings every Penn State Saturday. It's bitter sweet. Love my brides... love Penn State....   :)

I have one more post of vacation that I will try and put up tomorrow before we leave!

Goodbye Blog....Hello Vacation!

Hello friends!

Just a quick note to let you know that my hubby and I are taking a much needed vacation TOGETHER! :)  We will be heading to the gorgeous Outer Banks through Friday and then heading to Atlanta to go on houseboats on Lake Lanier with some friends. It just so happens that this past week, my mac decided to officially stop burning CD's for me, and I have to send it in for repairs. With that said, I can not be my obsessive self and post images of our trip while we are away, nor can I work on your photographs. It is definitely bitter sweet, but I think that the good Lord might be telling me to let it rest and enjoy the time with my amazing hubby. Speaking of which he just did the most amazing thing for me, which I will have some photos to post when I get back. It is the sweetest, most thoughtful birthday present ever! I will be sure to attend to all of my e-mails, your images, and print orders as well as blog some photos from our trip when I return next week.

Had to post....

If you are a blogstalker.... you probably remember Meg and Steve... Yesterday, I shot their Trash the Dress Session... had an awesome time. I didn't think that I would be able to post a few so soon... but I couldn't resist going through them. One of my friends is in town for the weekend and her flight was delayed so I had some extra time last night to edit a few for you! Enjoy!

Meg's in-laws own ABC Event Rentals, and so they got a moon bounce for the shoot. FUN!

Baltimore Cupcake Company in Annapolis!

House for Sale!

I thought that all of my travels were over.... but I was wrong!!   :)  Last week, my in-laws flew me to Pittsburgh for the day to take photographs of their house. They currently live in the Treesdale neighborhood, which is located just outside of Pittsburgh. This fall/winter they will be moving to beautiful Wilmington, NC (I am soooo jealous!). Here are the pics of their house, so if you know anyone looking in the Pittsburgh area, let me know!

Heather and Sam are back and married! Their wedding was last weekend and was oh so cute! They are super laid back but didn't lack in a single detail of their day. You will see!

Andrea + Ian

Remember Andrea and Ian? I shot their engagement session just a few days before their wedding and had only posted a small preview of their e.session.... so, I went to town on their wedding photos, and gave a very large preview! They are such a cute, sweet couple! They got married at the Ceresville Mansion in Frederick, MD. The staff there was truly amazing! I highly recommend that venue.  :)
